Billy began his major league career in 1987 with the Orioles. Two other Ripkens were on that team (one being a manager). Maybe you've heard of 'em. Billy also played for the Rangers, Indians, and finally the Tigers, where he finished his career in '98.
Billy is still involved in baseball. He is a part of Ripken Baseball (http://www.ripkenbaseball.com) and was also a first base coach for the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
